UFC: Diaz vs Pettis Odds Analysis

Renfrew

Its been almost three years since we have seen Nate Diaz in the Octagon, but he makes his return against AnthonyShowtime Pettis in the co-main event at UFC 241 in the Honda Center at Anaheim, California on August 18. Pettis made out his UFC debut last time which makes the jump from lightweight, and he became the first man to knock Stephen Thompson.
Online sportsbook BetOnline has put the likelihood with the two fighters as a pick em.
Anthony Pettis has been around a lose-one series and has not earned back-to-back successes because he won five in a row. Hes been an underdog in each of the last three fights and had near pick onem chances in his knockout loss.
Diaz hasnt been preferred to Josh Thomson at 2013, a span of five fights since his knockout loss. He cried with Conor McGregor as a +315 underdog vs Michael Johnson along with a +300 underdog in his first battle.
Pettis was the more active fighter recently so there is tremendous significance on Showtime, if you believe in ring rust.
These are fantastic grappling abilities, two fighters, with terrific cardio and great. Pettis is more creative and contains strong kicks, while Diaz continues long and that he mocks his opponents whenever they step backwards as he get in swap hands and a phone booth. Diaz does a terrific job projecting flurries and mixtures of punches that wear on his foes.
The path to victory for Pettis is attacking Diazs leg, although I think that the Stockton native needs to back Showtime against the weapon and wear on him with punches in bunches and clinch work to earn the win.
Odds at BetOnline as of August 2
