UFC: Diaz vs Pettis Odds Analysis

Renfrew

It has been almost three years since weve seen Nate Diaz from the Octagon, but he earns his return against AnthonyShowtime Pettis in the co-main occasion at UFC 241 in the Honda Center at Anaheim, California on August 18. Pettis left his UFC debut last time out which makes the jump from lightweight, and he eventually became the first person to knock Stephen Thompson .
Online sportsbook BetOnline has set the likelihood with both fighters sitting at -115 as a pick em.
Anthony Pettis has been on his last seven battles on a win-one streak and hasnt earned back-to-back victories since he won five in a row from 2011 to 2014. He has been an underdog in each of his last few fights and had near pickem chances in his knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at November 2017.
Diaz has never been favored to Josh Thomson in 2013 since his knockout loss. He cashed with Conor McGregor as also a +300 underdog in his fight and a +315 underdog vs Michael Johnson.
Pettis definitely was the fighter lately so there is tremendous significance on Showtime, in case you think in ring rust.
These are just two quite much like fighters, with amazing cardiograppling abilities and great striking. While Diaz is long, pettis is more creative and has really strong kicks whenever they step backward as hed rather get into a telephone booth and swap hands and that he mocks his opponents. Diaz also does a tremendous job throwing mixtures and flurries of punches that wear on his foes.
The path to victory for Pettis is attacking Diazs direct leg, although I think that the Stockton native needs to back Showtime from the weapon and wear him with punches in bunches and clinch work to deserve the win.
Odds as of August 2
