Tourism is Alive in North Grenville!

Tourism is Alive in North Grenville!

The Municipality has worked diligently throughout 2012 to encourage visitors and tourists to make North Grenville a stop in their travels.  Adding details to a new website, http://www.explorenorthgrenville.ca/, as well as the creation of an Android Application for Smartphones has given North Grenville a technological presence on the web.  Featuring maps of Dining, Shopping, Recreation and Attraction interests in the area, the website allows visitors (and residents) to learn about what we offer as a community, and teaches them the best opportunities for them to experience our old town culture and outdoor activities.

With cold weather approaching, we suggest visitors and residents engage in our winter activities.  Our endless trails and woodlands allow for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, sledding and other chances to experience the true, natural beauty we respect so much in our area.  Historic bridges, heritage routes and heritage villages allow for cultural experiences to mix with the beauty of the season to create wonderful day-trips or driving activities.

Come springtime, the Municipality and local tourism players will be launching programs to sell bundled experiences and help small businesses and local attractions represent themselves as part of a larger idea – North Grenville is a tourism destination. Whether it is the outdoor experience you value (trails, golfing, recreational activities), culinary experience you prefer (local food, drink and hospitality), or the retail aspect of old town galleries and boutiques, these Daytrip activities are bound to draw guests in for one reason or another.

We encourage you to begin your research on planning a stop in North Grenville and experience all we have to offer, whatever the season, whatever the reason, we can provide an experience for you!
