Timberfield Roof Truss launches its Northumberland County operations from Port Hope’s IDEAHUB
A leading manufacturer of building components has chosen Port Hope as its entry point to the Ontario East market. Timberfield Roof Truss, already established in London Ontario, makes wall panels and floor and roof trusses. It also distributes pre-engineered wood products, including laminated veneer lumber and engineered floor systems. Timberfield has grown substantially over the past 36 years – a direct result of supplying quality products on schedule to an established dealer network throughout Michigan and Ontario. Now the company has moved into IDEAHUB in Port Hope.
“We are thrilled to be expanding into the Port Hope region and look forward to connecting with local businesses and community members,” says Dave Hancock, Technical Sales Representative with Timberfield. “The Board and staff at IDEAHUB have been very accommodating, a great help in getting us settled in and we already feel like we are part of the community”.
“In line with Port Hope’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, IDEAHUB continues to grow as a catalyst for partnership opportunities that foster business development,” says Judy Selvig, Port Hope’s Director of Economic Development and Tourism. “It provides established businesses looking to locate in our community with a venue to conduct their due diligence process and the opportunity for our office to assist them to establish a more permanent presence locally.”
IDEAHUB has attracted interest from many firms in Southwestern Ontario who want to explore business expansion into the Eastern Ontario market. Timberfield is the fourth company to join IDEAHUB in recent weeks, along with three new startup organizations: Five Archers, Delice Foods and OMPEX.
