Port Hope

Port Hope’s IDEAHUB is pleased to welcome Executive Protection Services Group as the latest tenant to join the Municipality’s business incubator.

Executive Protection Services Group (EPS) will provide services including Security Guards and Private Investigators, Security Guard and Private Investigator test preparation courses, Mobile Patrol, Alarm Systems and Alarm Monitoring. Serving clients as far away as Toronto, EPS Group is also equipped with an Asset Recovery team and offers secure transport limousine service to and from Pearson International and Toronto Island airports and a driving service to downtown Toronto and all points in-between.

Deputy Mayor Jeff Gilmer, Chair of the Economic Development and Tourism Committee, sits on the Business Incubator Management Advisory Committee (BIMAC) “Executive Protection Services Group is an excellent addition to the IDEAHUB and we are pleased to welcome another new business.”

Deborah Clifford, Manager of Northumberland Campus of Fleming College and Chair of BIMAC stated, “The Committee was very impressed with the level of industry knowledge demonstrated by EPS Group and it was clear they were keenly aware of the benefits of being part of a group of committed entrepreneurs”.

Executive Protection Services Group Vice President, Douglas Blundell, is looking forward to working in the Port Hope area, “EPS Group is a family run business that isn’t your typical cookie cutter security company. We offer customized security, personalized service, one client at a time. We are here to serve our community”.

Port Hope’s IDEAHUB opened in 2010 as a full service business incubator for new and emerging entrepreneurial companies. Federal and Municipal funding helped establish IDEAHUB, but leases are negotiated between the tenant and building owner and the Municipality does not subsidize the leases. With a completely unique approach of public/private partnership funding structure, IDEAHUB is quickly becoming a highly sought-after model of business incubation in Ontario.
