New Businesses are Falling for Cobourg

Julie Savard

Leaves may be falling but new businesses in Cobourg are springing up like daffodils on a warm May morning. Here are some of the recent new businesses that have found Cobourg’s business climate favourable:

With shelves upon shelves of gourmet foods, A Matter of Taste’s owner, Elaine Fish, has no problem helping you find that perfect sauce or condiment to enhance your meal preparations.

One of a Kind Design brings you back to your childhood days, be it an antique or a vintage piece. Cobourg’s newest gallery and shop, Impresario Artisan Market, showcases hip, whimsical, contemporary Canadian art and craft with a special focus on Northumberland’s local talent.

We all have to eat so why not treat ourselves and enjoy the pasta and pizza dishes from  The Original Spaghetti House Pizzeria and Frank’s Pasta & Grill. Maybe it’s just a sandwich at Subway or Sylvana’s Coffee Shop followed by a specialty tea or frappé at Soula’s Tea Garden located just a walk across the street. Equally as appetizing are The County Bistro, Delicious Dragon Buffet and Stanley’s Fish and Grill.

Cobourg is Ontario’s Feel Good Town and we salute our new personal care professionals.  Lady Di’s Electrolysis, Lisa Ivatt Esthetics, The Buzz Barber Shop and In Harmony Day Spa all make sure we look and feel our best. And to add to the mix, New You! Laser Health provides laser therapy treatment to improve your life along with The Natural Choice Shoppe, your destination for handmade soaps, lotions, candles and household cleaners.

You may want to put on your dancing shoes because Twinkletoes Studio of Dance and Performing Arts has pranced into town offering a full slate of competitive and recreational classes.

We welcome our new businesses and wish them success!

Contact information for these businesses and others can be viewed on the Town of Cobourg’s Business Directory at www.cobourgecondev.ca
