Incubator Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary!

Innovative Haliburton

July marks the one year anniversary of the incubator which is a funded by the Haliburton County Development Corporation. The incubator is located in the old Dysart Library building in Haliburton.  Mike Jaycock runs the incubator, along with a committee.

The incubator currently has three tenants: Haliburton Language School, WAI Products and Why Not Collect It who is already leaving the incubator.

Brandi Hewson (WAI), Karra Wesley (HLS),Sandi McElwain (Why Not Collect It)

The three businesses agreed that it’s not about a low rent space; it’s the mentoring that’s important.

There has been some ups and downs over the past year including the Japan earthquake which had a significant impact on the Haliburton Language School, as her primary market is Japan.  But the incubator has been there to help each business with their challenges & they’re very grateful of the support they receive

Currently there are two spaces available in the incubator. If you are a creative business just starting out, looking to grow & need some advice the incubator might be for you!
