Haliburton TV Show “Highways to Fairways” To Premiere This Weekend!

Innovative Haliburton

Wayde & Charlie "the stars"

Wayde Teljeur & Wayde Greer are just two guys from Haliburton who love to golf & decided to hit the road to film a reality show called Highways to Fairways. Last night was the launch party held at the Bonnie View Inn. Charlie and Wayde thanked all of their sponsors & the community of Haliburton for their support through the production process.

Andy Campbell of Haliburton County Development Corporation spoke about when Charlie & Wayde first came to him pitching their idea for their TV show. With their love-able personalities, they had no problem selling the directors & staff on plans for a reality TV show. Turns out Barb Bolin (Chair, HCDC Board of Directors) knows Kevin Shea (Former President of Global, YTV & Sirius Canada) as he has a cottage in the area. Barb introduced Charlie & Wayde to Kevin who helped them get Highways to Fairways on 4 major Canadian networks!!

Murray Fearrey (Warden) said a few words along with Quagmire Golf sponsor who believed in the Highways to Fairways concept from the beginning.

The launch party wrapped up with a special screening of episode 1 set to air September 10. Even if you don’t like golf, you will enjoy the show…it’s a mix of comedy, drama, sports and as Kevin Shea said “a real genuine human element”.

Highways to Fairways is an important part of Haliburton’s Creative Economy…tune in September 10 & support local talent!!
