Renfrew

England womens captain, Steph Houghton says she is eager to be playing Brazil facing a sell-out crowd in the North East and will never forget how she began out there as a kid, wearing oversize tops, that was passed down from the guys team.
The Lionesses take on Saturday on Brazil, a side theyve beaten this year.
Thirty million tickets have been offered at Middlesbroughs Riverside Stadium. But, the side of Phil Neville are having gone four games without one.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Houghton said:Obviously when the likes of me and Jill Scott began at Sunderland, we had been 13 or 14 years old.
You had to pay to play, #250 value of subs to perform Sunderland. You had hand me down kits in the mens side to play , which had been extra large mens.
Look, I have seen each side of this last 10 to 15 decades and I would not change it for the world. I believe it gets us the gamers we are today. I believe we are in a privileged place today. I can say Im a professional footballer. It is my job.
But in exactly the identical time, I will never forget what we have been through, in terms of how we got to the position. The future is really bright for these young women coming through now, that are 16 or 17.
Got married last June to Bolton Wanderers defender Stephen Darby.
Three months after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), a condition that affects the mind and nervous system, causing muscular fatigue. Fernando Ricksen, former Rangers captain, lost his fight a month.
With profits going to The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, a donation agency will be available, In Saturdays match. The aim of the charity is to finance future research, to assist those suffering with the illness and to raise awareness.
It has been tough on a personal level, but I believe with the base gives us something else to concentrate on, said Houghton.
Im trying to focus on my football. I love being here. My husband is truly supportive of it now I am supporting his base as much as I can.
The Lionesses match against Brazil will be their first home game as the disappointment of the World Cup where they lost to the USA.
One of the most important threats is very likely to be ahead. She has won the FIFA player of the year on six events.
As a guardian, Houghton looks forward to playing :Those kinds of players may change games in a second. She is one of these kind of players.
She pushes her team , whether thats her dribbling with the ball or some of the tricks she does. She just loves the big occasions so that I have a massive admiration for her and everything shes done for the game.
